LIP COMPRESSION
A brief pressing of the lips together, often lasting under a second. Visible as a horizontal line where the mouth was.
A withheld thought or opinion. The person has something to say and is choosing not to.
Most reliable when it appears in the half-second after a question, a claim, or a name. Treat as a flag, not a verdict. Note the topic; return to it deliberately or move on.
Lip purse (forming a counter-argument) or lip bite (self-restraint, uncertainty).
