CHIN TUCK
The chin pulls in toward the chest, lowering the line of the face.
Defensiveness, submission, or protection. Sometimes deep thought.
Read the eyes. A chin tuck with steady eyes is thoughtful or skeptical. A chin tuck with downward eyes is submissive or ashamed. A chin tuck with raised eyes is the classic “under the brow” assessment — wary and skeptical.
Reading a phone or document on the chest.
