BLINK RATE SPIKE
A sudden increase in blinks per minute. Baseline conversation sits at 15–17. A spike rises to 40 or more.
Stress. The mind has encountered something unexpected, unwanted, or difficult to answer.
Read the change, not the number. Establish baseline in the first minute. The trigger is whatever was said or shown in the seconds before the spike. One of the most reliable signals in the body, visible from across a room.
Evidence of lying. Stress and deception share signals but are not the same.
