NOSE TOUCH
A finger touches, rubs, or scratches the nose.
Often nothing. Sometimes mild stress or itch.
Cited in popular literature as a deception indicator — the so-called Pinocchio response. The evidence is weak. The nose contains erectile tissue that engorges slightly under stress, which may produce mild itching, but the resulting touch is too unreliable to read alone. Treat as the weakest signal in this book.
Anything reliable in isolation.
